Lemon Cherry Gelato by Fig Farms - Strain Review

Lemon Cherry Gelato is a slightly indica leaning hybrid cross of Sunset Sherbert and Girl Scout Cookies (GSC). I have Fig Farms' Bay Area Cut of the strain here, in an eighth jar from Urbn Leaf. If you have been around the cannabis space for long, you probably know that Lemon Cherry Gelato (LCG) has been a bit overplayed recently, but knowing Fig Farms' reputation for quality, I was excited to give this a try.

First Impressions: 8.9/10

The reviewed jar contains 5-6 medium nugs which have a beautiful sharp, almost sinister appearance accentuated by its dark purple and olive/grey-green colors beneath the thick layer of trichs. Well cured, where I find most Fig Farms flower to be a touch under cured. As always, I wish Fig showed their terpenes on the packaging, but the shown testing is as follows:

Package Date: 06/08/23

Total THC: 33.80%

Total Cannabinoids: 39.42%

Smell/Taste: 9.3/10

Tart Cherry + Meyer lemon, Candy, Skunk. Definitely loud flower. The taste matches up well and leaves a strong tart candy aftertaste, but the smoke is a touch heavy.

Effects: 9.5/10

Quick onset with a strong weight behind the eyes which settles into full body high within a few minutes. Slight couchlock but not overly sleepy, this strain is great for afternoons in or a day at the beach. Slightly hunger inducing and pain relieving. Long duration.

Overall: 9.2/10

Excellent flower, this exceeded my expectations. A bit pricey as Fig Farms tends to be, but you can tell that a lot of care goes into these flowers.
